WAID ("we," "our," or "us") provides a WhatsApp AI Dashboard that helps users organize links, notes, and ideas saved through WhatsApp. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and profile information through our authentication provider (Clerk). This is used to create and manage your account.
WhatsApp Messages
When you forward messages to our WhatsApp number, we receive and process those messages through Twilio. We extract URLs, notes, and text content from your messages. We do not access your personal WhatsApp conversations — only messages you explicitly send to our service number.
Phone Number
We collect your phone number to link your WhatsApp account with your WAID dashboard. This is verified through a one-time OTP process.
AI-Processed Data
We use AI services (OpenAI) to generate summaries, tags, categories, and embeddings from the content you save. This processed data is stored alongside your original content to power features like search and organization.

- To provide and maintain the WAID service
- To organize and categorize your saved content using AI
- To enable search and discovery across your saved links and notes
- To send you service-related notifications via WhatsApp
- To track usage metrics for service improvement

4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Convex, a modern backend platform with built-in security features. Authentication is handled by Clerk, which provides industry-standard security practices. WhatsApp message processing is handled through Twilio's secure infrastructure.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate WAID:
- Clerk — Authentication and user management
- Convex — Database and backend infrastructure
- Twilio — WhatsApp message processing
- OpenAI — AI-powered content analysis and summarization
- Vercel — Application hosting
Each of these providers has their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.

8. Cookies & Analytics

WAID is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
